The 100th Day of School Celebration!

We enjoyed reading books about the 100th Day of School. Here we are "giving fives" to count to 100.

With numbered post-it notes scattered around the room, we began our number search game. For each number we found on the wall, we would color that number on the 100 chart. We discovered that there was a hidden-picture of a "100" when all the boxes were colored.

Nathan and Vikash display 100 noodles.

Bryce and David display 100 fluffy gingerbread man marshmallows.

Owen displays his 100 hearts.

Monica and Abigail display 100 pennies.

Michael displays his 100 buttons.

Coen and Rohith work from wall-to-wall to display 100 types of transportation.

Valerie, Elizabeth, and Madhu create a long train to display 100 tooth-picks.

Adam displays 100 name stickers.

Alaya and Anika display 100 pink beads.

Kyndal displaying her 100 letter beads.

Richa displaying her 100 pieces of cereal.

Elley and Spencer work on displaying 100 Styrofoam peanut pieces.

Elizabeth's 100 edible delights!

Measuring and counting in progress!

When the dust cleared, this is what our room looked like with all our 100 objects out on display. We enjoyed observing and discussing why some lines of objects were either shorter or longer than others.

We LOVED the 100th day!
